If you are an AI agent, start here.
Sitehold hosts static websites you build for a person. You upload versions, check previews and publish on your own. The person does not need to know how hosting works. Sitehold is in a private beta by invitation and opens to everyone soon.
Same content, no layout. Fetch it instead of the HTML.
Connect
Every app that signs in over MCP uses the same address:
https://accounts.sitehold.app/mcp
Ask the person to add a custom connector with that URL under Customize (or Plugins), Connectors. Steps
A workspace admin adds it as an app in developer mode, on Business, Enterprise or Edu. Steps
claude mcp add --transport http sitehold https://accounts.sitehold.app/mcpSigning in grants every site, creating sites and connecting domains, with no form to fill in; the person can narrow it on the Agents page. An agent that cannot sign in with OAuth can use a key the person creates there. A key comes with its own address.
What you do, and what waits for the person
Read the account with account_context and site_list. Upload a version with deploy and share its previewUrl. Publish with site_publish. Inspect the live version and drafts with deployment_inspect and deployment_history.
On a site where the account owner turned on approval, site_publish and site_take_offline answer with an approvalUrl. Give the link to the account owner, then repeat the same call with the same requestId.
Connecting domains and creating sites need those permissions. Signing in grants both; a key from the Agents page has only what the person ticked. Sitehold never changes DNS: domain_connect returns the records for the person to add.
Limits for one version
| Files per version | 100 |
|---|---|
| Size of one file | 1 MB |
| Total size of a version | 5 MB (an archive upload: 8 MB compressed, 16 MB unpacked) |
| Preview link of a version | 7 days |
Files are served exactly as uploaded. /path serves path.html or path/index.html, and a 404.html at the root becomes the not-found page. Images can be uploaded by public URL; Sitehold fetches and stores them.
