Hosting for agent-built websites

Your agent operates the website. Sitehold is what it operates.

You ask Claude or ChatGPT for a marketing website. Your agent builds it and puts it on Sitehold: you share a preview, and it goes live on your own domain when you approve.

Not a website builder. Not a chatbot. Not a one-shot generator. The place your agent's website lives.

You

“Add our autumn opening hours and show me before it goes live.”

Your agent

Builds the change, uploads it as a new version and sends you the preview link.

What Sitehold does

Previews to share, your own domain, and nothing live without you.

  • Previews you can share

Every version your agent uploads gets a preview link. Each site also has one preview link that always shows its newest version, so you can send it to a colleague or a client once and they keep seeing the latest work. Previews are for review: a single version's link stops working after seven days.

  • Your own domain

Connect a domain such as www.example.com and Sitehold shows you the DNS records to add. One domain can hold several sites, for example your main site at / and a campaign page at /webinar/.

  • Nothing goes live without you

When your agent wants to publish, it sends you a link to approve or decline the change in your Sitehold account. You can restore an earlier published version or take a site offline at any time. If you trust your agent with a site, you can let it publish that site without asking.

How it works

Three steps, and the first one happens once.

  1. Step 1

    Connect your agent

The first time, you sign in or create a Sitehold account and choose which sites the agent may work on.

  2. Step 2

    Ask for your website

Your agent builds it, uploads the finished files and gives you the preview link.

  3. Step 3

    Approve to publish

Your site goes live on your domain.

Sitehold hosts static websites: the HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images and fonts your agent builds. It does not run server code or databases. Previews work on a free account; publishing on your own domain needs a paid plan.

Connect your agent

Every app that signs in uses the same address.

https://accounts.sitehold.app/mcp

The first time, a Sitehold page opens. Sign in or create an account, choose the sites the agent may work on, and approve. Every connected agent is listed on the Agents page in your account, where you can disconnect it at any time.

claude.ai

  1. Open Customize, then Connectors, and choose + Add, then Add custom connector.
  2. Name it Sitehold and paste https://accounts.sitehold.app/mcp as the URL. Keep the recommended sign-in options.
  3. Choose Add, sign in to Sitehold and approve.

Custom connectors work on every Claude plan; the Free plan allows one. On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner adds the connector in the organization settings first, and members then choose Connect.

ChatGPT

  1. A workspace admin or owner turns on developer mode for themselves.
  2. In ChatGPT on the web, the admin creates an app with the URL https://accounts.sitehold.app/mcp and OAuth sign-in, and publishes it to the workspace.
  3. Each member connects the app, signs in to Sitehold and approves.

Sitehold needs ChatGPT's full MCP support, because your agent uploads and publishes, not only reads. OpenAI offers that in developer mode on ChatGPT Business, Enterprise and Edu. Plans or modes that allow only read or fetch actions cannot upload or publish with Sitehold.

Claude Code

Run this in your terminal:

claude mcp add --transport http sitehold https://accounts.sitehold.app/mcp

Then start Claude Code, type /mcp, choose sitehold and sign in to Sitehold in the browser window that opens.

Other agents

Any agent that can sign in to MCP servers over HTTP (OAuth) can use the same address. If your agent cannot sign in, create a key on the Agents page in your Sitehold account and give the agent the address and key shown there; a key has its own address.
