Put a website Claude made online, on your own domain
Short answer: add Sitehold to claude.ai as a custom connector, then ask Claude to publish the page with Sitehold. Claude uploads it, checks the preview and puts the page live on your domain with HTTPS. You don't copy files or use a hosting dashboard.
What you need
- A Claude account. Custom connectors work on every Claude plan; the Free plan allows one.
- A Sitehold account. Sitehold is in a private beta by invitation and opens to everyone soon.
- A domain you own, such as
example.com, if you want the page on your own address. Previews work without one.
1. Add Sitehold to claude.ai
- In claude.ai, open Customize (called Plugins on newer accounts), then Connectors, and choose + Add, then Add custom connector.
- Name it Sitehold and paste
https://accounts.sitehold.app/mcpas the URL. Keep the recommended sign-in options. - Choose Add and sign in to Sitehold. There is nothing to fill in: Claude can work on all your sites, create new ones and connect domains. You can narrow that on the Agents page of your Sitehold account.
On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner adds the connector in the organization settings first; members then choose Connect.
2. Ask Claude to publish your page
Use the page you already have in the chat, or describe a new one. Then ask:
Put this page on Sitehold as a new site called "Autumn webinar" and send me the preview link.
Claude uploads the finished files as a version. Every version gets a preview link that works for seven days, and the site gets one stable link that always shows the newest version.
3. Ask for changes
Ask for changes in the same chat; each change becomes a new version with its own preview link, and the site's stable link always shows the newest one. Open a link yourself whenever you want a look.
4. Go live
The first time, the page needs an address on your domain. See Connect your domain for the two DNS records to add; Sitehold can't publish until the domain is ready.
Then tell Claude to publish, and the page is live.
Common questions
Can Claude change the page later?
Yes. Ask in any chat where the connector is on. Claude uploads a new version, checks it and publishes it the same way. Sitehold keeps the live version, not a history of older ones.
Can I make Claude ask me before publishing?
Yes, per site. See Approve publishes yourself.
Does Sitehold host forms or a database?
No. Sitehold hosts static files: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images and fonts. A sign-up form needs a form service, such as your email marketing tool, that gives you an embed code.
